Can I place a Scooter Reservation over the phone?
Certain venues do allow reservation to be made over the phone. Please check the information page for the specific location you are interested to see if they also accept phone reservations.
Yes, if your reservation was made through our reservations site, you can cancel it online. Simply click on the find/change reservations tab, enter your reservation number and your e-mail. Then click "find your reservation." Cancelation fees may apply.
How do I know when my online reservation is complete?
After you have completed the reservation process, the final screen will include a confirmation message and the ability to print a confirmation. In addition, you will receive a confirmation email with your reservation details.
Will I be charged a deposit for the scooter rental equipment?
Most locations have a deposit policy and that amount will be held during the time of your rental. The specific amounts and the venues deposit policies can be found in the pricing section on the main rental page of the venue.
When do the charges get applied to my credit card?
Your credit card will be charged at the time of pick-up for the full amount of your rental.
What happens if my scooter breaks down?
Although it does not happen often, each rental location will provide you with instructions on how to get assistance if you have problems or your rental scooter breaks down.
Am I required to register on ScooterBugmobilityrentals.com?
No. You are not required to register for an account, but you are encouraged to do so. Having an account streamlines the rental process for future reservation and gives you access to all your prior rental history.
How do I register on ScooterBugmobilityrentals.com?
You are able to create an account when inputting your information for the reservation.
When you register, you get access to all historical rentals, plus you will not have to type your name and address information in for any future reservations.
What types of scooters do you have?
The best rental scooters in the business of course! We offer several different types of scooters, depending on the location where you are renting. Scooters are either 3-wheeled or 4-wheeled battery powered electric convenience vehicles (ECVs). All units are designed for reliability, safety, and dependability and a specifically matched to the type of environment they will be used.
How far in advance can I book a scooter?
You can book your reservation up to twelve (12) months in advance.
Can I reserve a scooter by the hour?
Prices and length of rentals will vary from location to location. Some venues may offer rentals by the hour, where others will be based on a half-day or full day schedule. Check the specific venue page for detailed pricing and rental information.
Do I need a license to rent a scooter?
Rental requirements vary from location to location, so please check on the specific venue page on what documents they require and any age restriction. Most locations require that the rider/operator be 21 years of age or older to rent a scooter.
What happens if I return the scooter late?
Equipment that is kept for longer than the allotted rental time will incur a late fee. (Some venues also charge a penalty over and above the late fee, so be sure check venue page for any additional penalty charges) To avoid being charged a late fee, we recommend that you bring the scooter back just prior to your scheduled return time.
Can someone who did not rent the scooter operate the scooter?
NO. The person who was designated as the operator when making the reservation is the ONLY person who may operate the scooter. Anyone can make the reservation (and pay for it), but the person identified as the operator is the only person who can drive the scooter.
Who do I contact if there are problems with my scooter?
Each location will provide you with information on who to contact if you experience any issues or problems with you scooter.
How many locations do you provide this service to?
Currently ScooterBug works will more than 200 venues around the world and the number keeps growing. Please note, not ALL of our partner locations participate in ScooterBugmobilityrentals.com and not all locations allow reservations through this site.
Where do I pick up my reserved scooter?
Each location has information on where to pick up your scooter before you make your reservation. In sites with multiple pick-up locations, you will need to know where you want to pick up the scooter before making the reservation. Most locations also provide a map of the venue that will provide reference points for each rental pick-up spot to help guide you to the most convenient pick up location.
Do you rent anything besides scooters?
ScooterBug rents other types of mobility equipment such as children's strollers and manual wheelchairs in addition to the scooters. For the specific items offered at each location. please visit the information page for the venue for an up to date listing of products offered for rent.
How fast can I book mobility equipment on the site?
The reservation process is quick and easy. First time users will need to fill out a bit more information than users with an account, but the whole process should not take more than 5 to 10 minutes from start to finish.
How do I find a venue near me?
You can use the search function to find a location near you or near a location you plan to visit. The search can be done by State and City, or can be done by Zip Code and a radius up to 50 miles from the center of the zip code. You can also narrow your search by specific types of venues you are planning to visit like Theme Parks, Casinos, Zoos, and resorts destinations.
Why am I only able to rent scooters from certain venues?
Currently some venues only offer on-site reservations for Scooters. You are able to find additional information on the venue in your search.
Which Credit Cards are accepted?
Reservations can be confirmed using the following credit cards: Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, and American Express.
What do I need to bring when I go to pick up my rental?
You should bring your Rental Confirmation information that you will get when you complete your reservation along with the credit card you used to make the reservation. The Reservation Confirmation will have all the necessary information to process your pick-up without any unnecessary delays. FYI- Some venues may require a second form of ID as well, either a State Issued Driver's License or other government issued ID (Passport, Military ID, etc.)
